Privacy & analytics note
Your document never leaves your device. That claim is literal.
Every step — opening a PDF, Word file or image, detecting fields, placing text, checkboxes and signatures, and generating the final PDF — runs inside your browser. There is no upload, no server copy, and no account. If you close the tab, nothing remains anywhere but on your own machine.
What we do measure
To know whether the tool actually works for people, we collect anonymous, cookieless usage statistics through a privacy-first analytics provider. This is about behaviour, never content:
- Page views (landing page, editor, download confirmation)
- Where visits came from (referrer / traffic source)
- Whether a device has been here before (a random local flag, not an identity)
- Which file type was opened (PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG) — never the file or its name
- That a text box, checkbox or signature was added — never what it said
- That a download completed
- Device type and browser
What we never see
- Your document, in whole or in part
- File names, field values, typed text, or signatures
- Cookies, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or session recordings
- Any personal identity — there are no user accounts for the tool itself
The only part of Simple Docu behind a login is the internal admin dashboard, which shows those aggregate numbers to us and nothing else.
